Welcome To The Ruel Foundation
The Ruel Foundation was formed in 2000 after finding a child in the Philippines, named Ruel, dying from what was an easily treatable problem. Now the Ruel Foundation helps hundreds of children in developing nations all round the world who have been forgotten and need relatively minor surgery. We are now operating the Ruel House in the Philippines. This now enables us to look after children and their families pre and post operation and ensure they are ready for surgery. It also is home to several malnourished children whom the Foundation are looking after until they are back to full strength.

 Liz Yates: Visiting the Ruel Foundation in the Philippines
Liz recently took a trip out to the Ruel Foundation House in Calapan City. She was with a team from Bethlehem Baptist Church, a mixture of nurses and childrens workers. This was Liz's first trip to a developing nation and what she saw shocked her. Seeing the poverty and need in the eyes of the people one meets is at times overwhelming.  A marvellous Mid-Winter Ball
The Ruel Foundation Mid-Winter Ball and Charity Auction was great sucess. Held at Mills Reef Winery in Bethlehem. We raised over $9000 for our hidden children.
Great fun was had by all and many fantastic prizes were auctioned off. We are most grateful for all those who sponsored the auction by donating prizes and their time to make it an evening to remember!

 Brookfield Primary students give Maria an early birthday present.
The students at Brookfield Primary school held a mufti day last Friday to raise money for an operation for a child, Maria Pastrana, in the Philippines.
Linking up with the Ruel Foundation, the students raised $400 for Maria to have the cleft lip surgery that she so desperately needs.
